EVERY TEEN DESERVES A PLACE TO BELONG.

The Garage is a safe, free after-school community where teens:
• Connect • Explore • Create • Get Comprehensive Support •
We celebrate teens for exactly who they are:
• We honor diverse identities
• We elevate teen voice and agency
• We nurture belonging
Food, activities, and mental health therapy are always available — and always free — because access to support should never be a barrier.
Because when teens feel safe and supported, confidence rises.
Connection deepens. Possibility expands.
HISTORY
It started with a simple belief: Teens need a place beyond home and school - a welcoming third space to connect, create, and be themselves.

Issaquah teens and community leaders come together to make the vision real.
The Garage opens in downtown Issaquah.
We become an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
And we’ve been growing alongside our teens ever since.
From idea to impact:
What began as a community conversation is now a vital hub for teen belonging and support. And from the very beginning, teens have led the way!

Before we even had a building, our Teens 4 Teens steering committee:
• Surveyed high schools • Testified at City Council meetings • Helped shape the building remodel • Named the space: The Garage, a Teen Cafe •
The Garage wasn’t built for teens.
It was built with them.
